College Day
09/10/2020

We typically have a “College Day” in September of every year. This has been a wonderful opportunity for our junior and senior students to visit with college, technical, and career reps from across Texas and even the nation. However, this year is not typical. For the first time EVER, we will be having a VIRTUAL College Day. Our first MHS Virtual College Day is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 from 9-11. We will have college representatives available LIVE from 9-11 a.m. All MHS junior and senior students, in person and virtual, are invited to participate.

This amazing opportunity will require students to register prior to the event. The attached PowerPoint includes information about this process. You will also find the direct link below to the registration site. On the date of the event, we will pull groups of students down to the common’s area to access this LIVE event on their chrome books. Virtual students will be able to access the LIVE event from home with the same link provided below and in the Power Point. Virtual students will also be required to register prior to the event.

Remember that this amazing opportunity will allow you to visit virtual college and university booths, chat with admissions reps LIVE, and schedule virtual appointments to ask questions.

If you happen to miss the event on the 24th, you will be able to access college reps during other Texas regional college fairs. Another amazing opportunity provided are information sessions starting Monday, September 14. These info sessions from college and university Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarship and Recruitment Representatives will share advice and best practices.  Topics include college search, application and admission process, financial aid, scholarships and more.  You are welcome to view a session from any week or check back as new sessions are added during the Fall and watch as many times as you like. This site will remain available to you throughout the fall.

Once you register for your College Fair, you can link to all of these events. Additional sessions added daily.

Monday, September 14- Financial Aid 101; Application & Admission Process; The College Search

Monday, September 21- Searching for Scholarship Dollars

YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND THE MHS VIRTUAL COLLEGE FAIR ON SEPTEMBER 24 FROM 9-11.
