A Message from Mr. Pate

“ The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark! ”

Parents and Students:

As an educator and a campus leader, I hold it as my responsibility to create an environment for our students that will help them to grow and prosper, even beyond the classroom.  It is important to me that our kids leave us stronger than when they arrive – stronger academically, socially, and emotionally – and I am committed to focusing all our campus resources toward helping them succeed.

Because the goal of education should be to enrich our lives, I want every child who walks our halls to discover their one-of-a-kind talents, skills, and attributes that make them unique, valuable, and irreplaceable.  I want every child to overcome the boundaries of self-limiting thoughts and attitudes that prevent them from reaching their full potential.  I want every child to understand that they have much to learn from those who have walked before them and much to offer those who will follow behind them.  I want every child to enjoy the excitement and challenge of discovering a dream for their lives.  I want every child to recognize and fulfill their life’s purpose.  And I want every child to know that there is an abundant life waiting for those who believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams.

I look forward to partnering with you on behalf of our children.  Thank you for your part in making the 2009-2010 school year our best ever!

A Message from Mr. Fisher

He who finds diamonds must grapple in mud and mire because diamonds are not found in polished stones.  They are made. ”

~Henry B. Wilson~

Parents and Student:

I am very excited to be at the Intermediate campus this year. For the past two years, I have served as assistant principal at the high school. This year brings so much excitement because I’ll be working with such a wonderful staff along with younger students again. One thing that always impresses me about these students is that they work so hard to please you and to do the best that they can! They literally put into action the belief that “anything is possible, if you put your mind to it”.

My goals this year include: maintaining the campus’ exemplary status, building character and self-esteem and preparing students for junior high. I believe that all students can learn and education is important. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and I received a master’s degree from Texas A & M-Commerce.

Remember that at the Intermediate School, we are “Diamond Makers”!
