Head Start
The purpose of the Head Start program is to work with school districts to provide a complete early childhood program for income-eligible children who are three or four on or before September 1. Head Start is a comprehensive Pre-Kindergarten program that serves low-income children and families. Head Start is funded by a Federal Grant. The program provides a range of individualized services in the areas of education; medical, dental and mental health, nutrition and parent involvement.
